These Terms of Service, Acceptable Use Policy, and Privacy Policy apply to Ice Ledger. They are not legal advice. TWANTECH may update them by changing the effective date.
By creating an account, signing in, or using Ice Ledger, you agree to these Terms, the Acceptable Use Policy, and the Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
We may update these Terms. Continued use after a posted change means you accept the new Terms. Material changes will be noted by updating the effective date.
Ice Ledger is a hobby tool for hockey-card collectors. It lets you photograph cards, receive an automated identification guess, store a personal binder, enter what you paid, view estimated sold comps, share a public binder, follow other binders, like and comment, and (if offered) buy a paid plan (“Ice+”).
Ice Ledger is not a dealer, auction house, appraiser, broker, or financial adviser. Comp figures are estimates assembled from public sold listings and language-model search. They can be wrong, stale, or incomplete. Do not buy, sell, insure, or report taxes based only on Ice Ledger numbers.
You must be at least 16 years old (or the age of digital consent where you live, if higher) and able to form a contract. If you are under the age of majority in your province or state, a parent or guardian must agree to these Terms and supervise use.
You may not use the service if you are barred under Canadian or other applicable law.
You must provide a real email you control and keep your password secret. You are responsible for activity on your account. Tell us at iceledger@outlook.com if you think the account was taken over.
We may refuse, suspend, or delete an account that violates these Terms or the Acceptable Use Policy, or that we reasonably believe is a risk to other users or to us.
Password reset depends on email delivery we control only if mail is configured. If mail is down, contact iceledger@outlook.com.
A free plan includes a monthly cap on identification scans and book refreshes. Ice+ (if offered) raises those caps. Caps, prices, and features can change.
If we add paid billing (for example Stripe or the App Store), those processors’ terms also apply. Fees are generally non-refundable except where consumer law in your province requires a refund or where we decide to refund. Taxes may apply.
Identification uses third-party vision models (currently xAI). Availability depends on those providers and on our hosting. We do not guarantee uptime, accuracy, or that a given card will identify.
“Your Content” includes card photos, profile photos, display names, bios, comments, likes, follows, binder data, notes, and anything else you upload or type.
You keep whatever rights you already have in Your Content. You grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, store, reproduce, adapt (for compression and cropping), display, and distribute Your Content only as needed to run Ice Ledger — including showing public binders to other users when you publish or share them, generating identification and comps, and making backups.
You represent that you have the right to upload Your Content; that photos are of cards you own or may photograph; and that profile photos and comments do not infringe others’ rights.
Hockey cards and set designs are typically owned by leagues, players, and publishers (for example Upper Deck). Ice Ledger does not grant you those rights. Using a scan for personal catalogue use is your responsibility.
You can delete cards from your binder. Public copies, caches, comments, and backups may take time to disappear. We may keep records needed for security, disputes, or law.
If you save cards while signed in, a public binder may appear in Community under the screen name you choose, not your login email. Follows, likes, and comments are visible as designed.
We do not pre-screen all content. We may remove content or hide photos/comments after reports or on our own. Three reports may auto-hide a photo or comment. That is a safety tool, not a finding that something is illegal.
Identification, parallels, grades, and sold comps can be wrong. Card numbers must never be treated as prices. Always check eBay solds, auction houses, or a dealer before you spend money.
Nothing in Ice Ledger is investment, tax, or legal advice.
You must follow the Acceptable Use Policy. We may remove content, cap features, or ban accounts that break it.
Ice Ledger’s name, layout, code, and branding are owned by TWANTECH or its licensors. You get a personal, revocable, non-transferable licence to use the app for collecting. You may not copy the service, scrape it at scale, reverse engineer except as allowed by law, or use our marks without permission.
The app relies on hosting (for example Railway), model providers (for example xAI), optional email vendors (for example Resend), and optional payment processors. Their outages or terms can affect you. We are not responsible for third-party sites you open from sold-comp links (eBay, Fanatics Collect, and others).
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE.” TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY ONTARIO AND FEDERAL LAW, WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT IDENTIFICATIONS OR COMPS ARE ACCURATE OR THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED OR ERROR-FREE.
Consumer protection statutes in your province may give you rights that this section cannot take away.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE ARE NOT LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOST PROFITS, LOST DATA, OR WRONG CARD VALUES, EVEN IF WE WERE TOLD THEY WERE POSSIBLE.
OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM RELATING TO THE SERVICE IS LIMITED TO THE GREATER OF (A) CAD $50 OR (B) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US FOR ICE+ IN THE THREE MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM.
These limits do not apply to liability that Ontario law does not allow us to limit (for example certain cases of fraud or personal injury).
You will defend and indemnify us against claims arising from Your Content, your use of the service, or your breach of these Terms, except to the extent caused by our wilful misconduct.
We may suspend or shut down Ice Ledger at any time. We will try to give notice by email or in-app if we wind the service down, but we are not required to keep hosting your binder forever. Export your JSON if you care about a copy.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada that apply there, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Courts in Ontario have exclusive jurisdiction, except that either party may seek injunctive relief where the other party’s intellectual property or safety is at risk.
If you are a consumer in another province or country, mandatory local consumer laws still apply.

We may hide content, reset a profile photo, limit Community features, or close an account. Automated rules (for example hiding after several reports) can make mistakes; email iceledger@outlook.com if you think that happened.
We may keep evidence of serious abuse and disclose it to law enforcement when required or when we reasonably believe there is an imminent risk of harm.
Use Report photo or Report on a comment for policy problems. Do not use reports as a joke. False or mass reports can get your account limited.

We do not sell personal information.
Servers and backups may sit in Canada or another country (for example the United States) depending on the host and model provider. Other countries may have different access rules, including lawful access by foreign governments.
Keep a local export if you need your own copy.
We will respond to access, correction, and deletion requests within the time PIPEDA expects where it applies, unless an exception applies (for example we must keep a ban record).
The service is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16. If you believe we have, email us and we will delete it.
We use local device storage for login and binder cache, not advertising cookies. The host may set standard security cookies.
We send transactional mail: password resets and, to the operator, abuse reports. We do not intend to send marketing mail. If we ever do, we will obtain consent required by CASL and include an unsubscribe.
We use hashed passwords, HTTPS on the public host, and access controls we can reasonably maintain as a single operator. No method is perfect. Do not upload unnecessary sensitive data (SIN, banking, passport).
We will update the effective date when this policy changes. Keep using the app after a change means you accept the updated policy for future use.
